Fortunately, the house that the missus has chosen for us to live in is spectacular. The landlord seems like a decent sort, despite the fact that he is probably one of the oldest tanned people I have ever seen. In fact, I have to say that with his leathery skin and perma-wrinkles he almost certainly closely resembles John Merrick's nut sack.
Still, the high points have to be the proximity to the excellent beach in Mission Bay and the view from our balcony, which is even better at night with some of the spectacular sunsets.
In this pic is the view of Auckland harbour and the cityscape. Obviously there is some stuff over to the right, but it is mostly populated by some dolphins so doesn't deserve a mention unless you are pouring flipper poison into it and ending their aquatic reich once and for all.
